Clovis (he/him), who is originally from Jamaica and identifies as a gay man, has been on the Northshore for one year. He came here via Australia when he was recruited by Tulane University’s primate center to research ways to fight infections, obesity and aging. He loves gardening, watching sports and our queer community which he says is “very welcoming.” Two fun facts about Clovis are: 1. He spent 6 months perfecting a gluten-free chocolate cake recipe and 2. He discovered that immune cells use glucose to make toxic substances that cause inflammation. Feel free to say “hello” “hola” or “salve” to Clovis when you see him. He’s a polyglot. We’re so glad you’re here Clovis!
